The Arkasas Gospel Mass Choir was in Rogers AR on July 31 to record their second live album. Founded by Charles Moore in 2007, the choir is comprised of members from around the state and makes frequent appearance throughout the year. The albums are produced on the T Records label. Watermark’s mobile studio was in Tulsa for the April 23 recording of Smokie Norful’s new live album with the 12th District AME Holy Convocation Choir. The evening was marked with the appearance of several guest artists including Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Melvin Williams, and Joe Ligon. Jason Tyson was the music director for the project which is being released through EMI-CMG.
Gospel artist Darwin Hobbs recorded his first live album at Oasis Worship Center in Nashville, TN on September 18th. The standing room only crowd was on their feet most of the night for what was a powerful night of worship led by Darwin with production support from Daniel Weatherspoon.
Watermark’s mobile studio was on hand to capture the event with David Habegger engineering the recording. The album is due out mid 2010.
The latest live album project from John Tesh has been released on CD and DVD. Alive: Music and
Dance features John and his band with a string section and the Colorado Gospel Choir.
Dance groups Breeze Lee and VersaStyle and Ballet Magnificat add energy to the performance recorded at Faith Bible Church in Arvada Colorado in August 2007.
